Lake Union 10K Race 2025

This past Sunday, August 10th, a group of six Naturopathic Medical students from Bastyr University, led by Dr. Tom from Integrative Medicine Group, had the opportunity to provide first aid and post-race care to 48 of the athletes from across the country who participated in the Lake Union 10K. Treatments included wound care, fracture assessment, taping, patient education, and muscle recovery therapies. We were thrilled to receive such positive feedback from both the racers and the student volunteers, who greatly valued the hands-on experience of working with athletes.

A huge thank you to the student volunteers who offered their time (Elise, Emma, Ishan, Rashuna, Ryleigh, and Woape), Dr. Tom for his time and expertise, and Laura, the Race Coordinator, for organizing another successful Lake Union 10K.
